#SalesforceWinter27 [Tip 38 of 40] (Video 2:53) - Build Salesforce Apps with the Claude Code Plugin

Winter '27 brings a Salesforce Development plugin for Claude Code.

The plugin detects your Salesforce DX project and gives Claude Code Salesforce-specific skills, plus context about your org through hosted MCP servers. You describe what you want in plain language, such as an Apex class, a custom object, a Lightning Web Component or a deployment, and Claude Code builds it.

It's available from the Claude Plugin Marketplace and works anywhere Claude Code can reach your DX project: the terminal, Claude Desktop, VS Code, and JetBrains IDEs.

Product Area: AIforce

After installing the prerequisite software, open Claude Code and run these two commands:

/plugin install salesforce-development@claude-plugins-official
/reload-plugins

Then run the following to see a summary of your environment and suggested next steps.

/salesforce-development:welcome

Here it is in action.

Already have a DX project? Open it and start prompting, for example "Create an Apex service class to handle Account territory assignments" or "Deploy the current changes to my sandbox." New to Salesforce development? Start with "Let's build something in Salesforce," and Claude walks you through creating a project and connecting an org.
